Each generation of the church requires equipped leaders who will reproduce themselves in others.
Tim's text was 2 Timothy 2:2 ... "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."

I've seen the problems that a church faces as old leaders move on for various reasons, and no new leaders are trained to take their place. I think we can all use this reminder from time to time.

Also, if we did a better job of training leaders, then there would be better transitions when pastors leave.
